The Long Branch Network came online on October 31, 1996.  It was the first internet web site of The Long Branch, New Jersey Community.  The information and news published here are not filtered by the political spin masters of the Long Branch Mayor, Administration or City Council.  This insures not only the opposition a voice in the matters concerning the residents of this City.  Spin is absolutely minimized as a result of our commitment to facts and not to hiding embarrassing situations.  As well we are not advertising driven or dependant.  So our advertisers do not control content either.  We appreciate the major news sources in the area.  The Atlanticville Weekly and The Link. However, we are not controlled by influences that would want certain information to remain quiet or watered down.  We are not leaning heavily one way or another like the Link which has a large dependency on The City - nor are we published by the City such as  - The City run web site.
